Von Mwanza aus gelangt man mit der Fähre innerhalb von 3,5h nach Ukerewe Island, Afrikas größter Inlandinsel. Die Fähre fährt jeden Tag um 9Uhr vom Hafen in Kirumba und kostet nur 7000 Shilling (zur Orientierung: 1000TSH=0,45€). Was tut man also, wenn man in Mwanza wohnt und eine Woche URlaub hat? Richtig, man fährt raus auf's Land. Also: ab auf die Insel!
From Mwanza it's only 3,5h with the ferry to Ukerewe Island which is Africas biggest inland island. The ferry leaves every day from the port of Kirumba at 9am and costs only 7000TSH (1000TSH=0,45€). So what to do if one lives in Mwanza and has holidays for a week? Of course going to the island!
