Die sehr alten Regenwälder der Usambaraberge beheimaten wie gesagt zahlreiche endemische Arten, wie z.B. das West Usambara-two-horned chameleon und das Usambaraveilchen. Diese Regenwälder machen die Usambaraberge zu einem Biodiversityhotspot und sind extrem schützenswert. Leider ist nicht mehr viel von diesen Wäldern übrig.
The very old rain forests of the Usambara Mountains are home to lots of endemic kinds like the West Usambara-two-horned chameleon and the African Violet. These rainforests are making the Usambara mountains to a hotspot of biodiversity and it is really necessary to save them. Unfortunately there are just small forests remaining there.
