Elbehochwasser: Pötzscha und Pirna

Niemand hätte erwartet, dass es sobald wieder ein solches Hochwasser geben sollte. 

Und auch noch nahezu in dem Umfang wie das Hochwasser 2002.

Nobody thought that there would be a flood like 2002 that soon.

 Inzwischen ist das Wasser weitaus weiter gestiegen,
so dass große Teile Pötzschas bereits überschwemmt sind. 

Meantime the water is risen a lot and so huge parts of Pötzscha areflooded.

Gestern nachmittag ging es mit zwei Freundinnen nach Pirna, um dort zu helfen, denn die gesammte Innenstadt musste geräumt werden, so dass auch zahlreiche Läden leer geräumt werden mussten.

Yesterday afternoon two friends of mine and I went to Pirna to help there 
because the downtown had to be cleared and evacuated and so we helped to clear a shop.
